Accounting Intern – Bookkeeping Support

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounting Intern to support our finance team in Nairobi. The role offers hands‑on experience in bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and financial record‑keeping within a dynamic banking environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Record financial transactions and update accounting ledgers.
• Prepare, organize and file payment documents, invoices and receipts.
• Support bank reconciliations and petty‑cash management.
• Help manage cheque books and related documentation.
• Maintain proper financial and administrative records.
• Perform other accounting and office duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Familiarity with cheque books, payment vouchers, invoices and receipts.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and accuracy.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel.
