Accounting Intern

About the role

Print Shop, a Nairobi-based printing, design and branding company, is running a three-month, hands-on internship programme starting at the end of September 2026. It is looking for 5 to 11 motivated recent graduates who have completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree and want practical workplace experience. The Accounting Intern supports routine finance and accounting activities while working alongside experienced team members in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with recording day-to-day financial transactions.
• Support preparation and organisation of invoices, receipts and other financial documents.
• Assist with basic reconciliations and record-keeping.
• Support tracking of payments, expenses and other transactions.
• Help file and maintain accurate financial records.
• Support preparation of basic financial reports as required.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling financial information.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance function.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet applications.
