About the role

Royal Mabati Factory Limited is seeking an Accounts Intern to support its finance team in Nairobi. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in accounting processes within a leading roofing‑materials manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize physical and electronic financial records.
• Assist with accounts payable by verifying supplier invoices, preparing payment vouchers, and updating payment records.
• Support accounts receivable by recording customer receipts, tracking outstanding balances, and reconciling debtor accounts.
• Record daily cash and bank transactions and help with bank reconciliations.
• Enter financial transactions accurately into the accounting system and update spreadsheets.
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for monthly financial reporting and statutory reports.
• Assist in audit preparation and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance office.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field (ongoing or recently completed).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles.
• CPA Part I or II is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with accounting software (any).
