Accounts Receivable Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage the receivables function, support credit control and ensure timely reconciliation of customer accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the full accounts receivable cycle, including invoicing and cash application.
• Analyse and reconcile cash and credit customer accounts.
• Monitor customer balances to ensure payments are received on schedule.
• Collaborate with the sales team to maintain agreed payment terms.
• Issue and process customer credit notes and generate ageing reports.
• Prepare journal vouchers and assist with statutory returns such as VAT.
• Maintain accurate customer ledgers and support internal audits.
• Identify control weaknesses and contribute to process improvements.

Required profile

• ACCA or CPA affiliate/member.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounts receivable.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation abilities.
• Good understanding of VAT and statutory filing.
• Self‑driven, flexible and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• SAP Business One (preferred ERP).
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
