Accounts Receivable Clerk – Remote (Nairobi)

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for maintaining the security and reliability of ICT systems while supporting staff with information processing needs. This remote position based in Nairobi combines technical support with compliance and data‑security tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain data security, hardware/software specifications, and schedule security backups.
• Log and track technical problems and set up preventive maintenance.
• Assist staff with information processing and system compliance needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Technology or a related field; professional certifications (CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
• Sound knowledge of ICT systems, network administration, information security and best practices.
• Ability to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, servers, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Knowledge of virtualization and cloud technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
• Understanding of cybersecurity threats, security controls and appropriate counter‑measures.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
