Accounts Receivable Manager

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead the AR function, ensuring timely collection of customer payments, accurate invoicing, and effective cash‑flow management while maintaining strict VAT compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounts Receivable team, overseeing invoicing, payment processing, account reconciliation and collections.
• Monitor outstanding receivables, implement collection strategies and resolve disputes or payment discrepancies.
• Review and approve significant account adjustments, credit notes and write‑offs, and develop credit control procedures to limit bad‑debt exposure.
• Ensure VAT compliance, lead reconciliation processes, review VAT reports and support tax filing preparation.
• Analyse financial and customer data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities; prepare regular AR performance reports.
• Drive process improvement, automation and SOP development to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
• Collaborate with sales, finance and external auditors to align AR activities with broader business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing an Accounts Receivable team.
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and tax compliance requirements.
• Ability to analyse large volumes of financial data and present actionable insights.
• Experience in process optimisation, automation initiatives and internal control frameworks.
