About the role
The Accounts Receivable role is responsible for managing the organization’s receivables by ensuring accurate and timely invoices, monitoring customer accounts, following up on outstanding payments, allocating receipts, and reconciling accounts.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounts receivable records and allocate customer payments promptly.
- Monitor outstanding balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and produce debtor ageing reports.
- Perform customer account and general ledger reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.
- Manage credit limits, ensure compliance with payment terms, and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Prepare periodic receivables, collection, and ageing reports for management.
- Address billing and payment queries while maintaining positive customer relationships.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or debt collection.
- Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems and strong Excel proficiency.
- Understanding of IFRS 9 compliance, ECL calculations and impairment assessments.
