Actuarial Manager – Systems & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for a forward‑thinking Actuarial Manager to lead the automation, systemisation and continuous improvement of actuarial reporting across our Life and General Insurance businesses. The role sits at the intersection of actuarial modelling, IFRS 17 compliance and financial reporting, and will drive efficiency and data integrity for the Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the systemisation and reporting of IFRS 17 actuarial data for Life and General Insurance entities.
• Collaborate with Finance and IT to streamline data integration between actuarial and accounting systems.
• Maintain and enhance actuarial system configurations, assumptions and methodologies to ensure IFRS 17 compliance.
• Validate actuarial outputs for accuracy, completeness and audit readiness.
• Develop, document and automate actuarial models used for reserving, pricing and projections.
• Establish governance, version control and quality‑assurance processes for actuarial systems and models.
• Partner with subsidiary actuarial teams, Group Finance, Risk and IT to embed actuarial systems into wider Group processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative discipline.
• Minimum of 6 passed actuarial exams (IFoA, SOA, ASSA or equivalent).
• At least 5 years of actuarial experience, including IFRS 17 implementation and systemisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior actuaries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with actuarial software such as Prophet, MoSes or AXIS.
• Strong data‑handling skills using SQL, Python and Power BI.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS 17 reporting standards and insurance reserving methodologies.
