Adhesive Factory Operator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Adhesive Factory Operator to support the production of adhesive products through safe and efficient operation of mixing, blending, dosing, processing, and packaging equipment. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience working in an adhesive, chemical, coatings, construction chemicals, paint, or similar manufacturing factory, with practical knowledge of production processes and industrial equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate adhesive production equipment safely and efficiently according to approved procedures.
• Carry out mixing, blending, dosing, dispersion, and processing of raw materials per formulations.
• Measure, weigh, and add raw materials accurately for each batch.
• Monitor production parameters such as mixing time, temperature, viscosity, speed, and batch quantity.
• Operate and monitor mixers, agitators, pumps, filling machines, and weighing systems.
• Conduct in‑process checks and report any abnormalities in product quality.
• Record batch numbers, raw material usage, production quantities, and process parameters.
• Identify equipment abnormalities, material shortages, and production issues and report them.
• Assist with equipment cleaning, changeovers, routine inspections, and basic maintenance.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and identification of chemicals and raw materials.

Required profile

• KCSE or equivalent; Certificate or Diploma in Chemical Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Direct experience in adhesive, construction chemicals, coatings, paint, sealant, or similar chemical manufacturing.
• Practical experience operating industrial mixing, blending, dosing, or processing equipment.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and batch production processes.
• Ability to read and follow production instructions, formulations, batch sheets, and operating procedures.
