Adjunct Faculty – English

About the role

The University seeks an Adjunct Faculty member to teach English courses at undergraduate and/or graduate level. The role involves delivering high‑quality instruction, mentoring students, and contributing to the academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate English courses using innovative pedagogical approaches.
• Prepare course outlines, instructional materials, assessments, and examinations in line with university policies.
• Facilitate an engaging, inclusive learning environment that promotes student success.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students.
• Assess student learning and deliver timely, constructive feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development, program assessment, accreditation, and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to departmental, school, and university committees and other academic activities.
• Engage in community service and professional activities that enhance the university’s mission.

Required profile

• PhD in English or a related discipline, or a Master’s degree with at least two years of university‑level teaching experience.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, learning, and student success.
• High ethical standards, professionalism, and integrity.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with educational technologies and Learning Management Systems (LMS) for teaching, learning, and assessment.
