Advocate – Litigation & Dispute Resolution (High Court)

About the role

Triple A Advocates is seeking a High Court Advocate to join its Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice in Nairobi. The role involves handling complex contentious matters and providing strategic legal advice to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and draft well‑reasoned opinions on contentious issues.
• Prepare and file pleadings, affidavits, applications and other court documents within prescribed timelines.
• Appear in court to represent clients at hearings, mentions, applications and case conferences.
• Manage cases actively, including diarising deadlines, preparing witnesses and bundles, and overseeing case files.
• Participate in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Take client instructions, advise on strategy and keep clients updated on progress.
• Collaborate with partners, fellow advocates and support staff, and supervise junior team members where required.

Required profile

• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing with a valid practising certificate for 2026.
• Minimum two (2) years post‑admission experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
• Demonstrated experience in legal research, drafting pleadings, affidavits, applications and providing legal opinions.
• Practical experience attending court hearings, case management and alternative dispute resolution.
• Ability to provide details of three significant matters handled, outlining role and contribution.
• Two referees – one academic and one from legal practice.
• Availability to commence on 2 November 2026 at the Nairobi office.
