Africa Human Resource Officer

About the role

We are seeking a competent, proactive, and detail‑oriented Human Resources Officer to support HR operations across Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The role involves implementing HR policies, coordinating daily HR activities, and advising employees and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end recruitment processes, from advertising to onboarding, ensuring timely placement of qualified candidates.
• Manage employee lifecycle events such as onboarding, transfers, promotions, contract renewals, resignations, and exits, maintaining accurate records.
• Monitor attendance, timekeeping, overtime, and leave applications in line with company policies and local labour laws.
• Coordinate performance appraisal cycles, track probation periods, and support performance management processes.
• Provide day‑to‑day HR guidance, support regional HR policy implementation, and maintain confidentiality of employee information.
• Assist the HR Business Partner in regional HR initiatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations across East Africa.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
• At least 4 years of experience in recruitment, employee lifecycle administration, attendance and leave management, HRIS administration, and performance management.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across cultures.
• High integrity, accountability, and a service‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using an HRIS or other HR management system.
