Agile Product Owner – International Health

About the role

The Agile Product Owner will drive value delivery for Cigna Healthcare’s International Organisations Health (IOH) backend products. Working closely with the Agile Product Manager, you will translate strategy into a clear, executable backlog that meets the needs of internal stakeholders across payments, billing, eligibility and finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Agile Product Manager to shape product vision, roadmap and outcomes.
• Maintain visibility of delivery progress and keep roadmaps up‑to‑date.
• Act as the voice of the customer for the Scrum Team, ensuring backlog priorities reflect real value.
• Decompose features into user stories, refine them with developers, testers and subject‑matter experts.
• Own Jira backlog quality and approve user stories before they are marked Done/Accepted.
• Lead PI planning cycles and coordinate with Scrum Master, QA and UAT teams to track delivery, quality and predictability.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of Agile product ownership and Scrum practices.
• Experience with backend systems in Mainframe and Financial Services domains, especially payments and financial reporting.
• Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders (operations, finance, claims, eligibility).
• Excellent analytical mindset and focus on compliance, scalability and data integrity.
