Agronomist & Farm Manager – Sustainable Farm

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Agronomist and Farm Manager to lead daily operations on our progressive farm in Timau. The role combines hands‑on farm management with expert agronomic advice to maximise crop and livestock productivity while adhering to sustainable practices.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee all farm activities including planting, irrigation, fertilisation, pest control and harvesting.
• Develop and implement crop‑rotation schedules and planting plans.
• Analyse soil data and crop performance to provide agronomic recommendations.
• Monitor crop health, diagnose diseases and pests, and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Lead a team of farm workers, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
• Manage farm budgets, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain detailed records of operations, yields and input usage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in farm management and agronomy.
• Strong knowledge of crop production systems, soil science and precision agriculture.
• Proven leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding outdoor environment.
• Proficiency with farm‑management software and modern agri‑tech tools.
• Valid driver’s licence (including tractor operation).
