AI & IoT Research Intern – Remote (Paid)

About the role

GAO Group & Aperture Venture Studio are seeking PhD students for a 3–6 month AI & IoT Research Internship. Join our R&D team and contribute to Physical AI, AIoT, IoT, AI/ML, intelligent sensing, Edge AI, connected systems, and emerging technologies through research, experiments, prototypes, and proof‑of‑concept development.

Key responsibilities

• Support AI/IoT research, experiments, and literature reviews.
• Research emerging technologies and applications.
• Develop and test prototypes and proof‑of‑concept systems.
• Work with sensors, connected devices, and edge/cloud platforms.
• Apply AI/ML to IoT‑generated data.
• Prepare technical documentation and research reports.
• Explore practical and commercial applications.
• Collaborate with R&D researchers, engineers, and technical professionals.

Required profile

• PhD students from relevant STEM disciplines (e.g., Electronics, Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, IoT, Robotics, etc.).
• Relevant coursework, research, projects, laboratory, or technical experience is encouraged.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, IoT, sensors, embedded systems, programming, data analysis, edge/cloud computing, robotics, computer vision, or digital twins is valuable.
• Experience in every area is not required.
