About the role
The Manager Allied Health will provide strategic and operational leadership for allied health services across the Aga Khan University Hospital Outreach Network. This senior role oversees pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, dental and optical services, ensuring safe, efficient and patient‑centred care while supporting the organization’s strategic and financial goals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in planning, implementing and continuously improving allied health and outpatient clinical services.
- Oversee operational performance of clinics, ensuring efficient service delivery, optimal resource utilization and achievement of key performance indicators.
- Lead quality assurance and patient safety initiatives to promote clinical excellence and enhance patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, organizational policies and clinical best practices.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational and support teams to improve workflows and strengthen service delivery.
- Oversee Health Information Management Services, including medical coding and central filing operations.
- Monitor inventory management to guarantee uninterrupted availability of clinical supplies and equipment.
- Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams through recruitment, performance management and continuous professional development.
- Utilize data and performance metrics to evaluate service delivery and support informed decision‑making.
- Support departmental budgeting, cost optimisation and efficient resource utilisation.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Radiology, another allied health discipline, or a business‑related field with relevant allied health experience.
- Master’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration or a related field.
- Minimum eight (8) years of healthcare management experience, including at least three (3) years in a leadership role.
Required skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in standard office applications.
- Experience using healthcare information systems.
- Ability to work with data and performance metrics for decision‑making.
