Area Sales Manager – Bomet Region

About the role

HomeBiogas is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead its Bomet territory. The role focuses on driving sales of renewable‑energy and waste‑management solutions to rural farmers and agribusinesses, while building strong relationships with local stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach and mentor a high‑performing field sales team, setting clear performance targets.
• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual regional sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with farmer groups, cooperatives, financial institutions and agro‑dealers.
• Coordinate regional marketing campaigns, product demonstrations and farmer engagement activities.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through lead generation, follow‑up and conversion, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of B2C sales experience in agriculture, renewable energy, FMCG or related sectors.
• At least 3 years leading a field sales team of 10 or more representatives.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in rural markets.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
