Area Sales Manager – Mt. Kenya Region

About the role

The Area Sales Manager will lead a high‑performance sales team covering the Mt. Kenya region. You will be responsible for implementing sales strategies, driving market share, and ensuring compliance with commercial policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute solid sales strategies to achieve set targets.
• Monitor and evaluate the execution of marketing activities across the territory.
• Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, enforcing commercial policies.
• Set early targets, break them into monthly objectives, and track progress.
• Engage with key accounts, schedule meetings, deliver presentations, and negotiate contracts.
• Coach, motivate and develop team members to achieve sales excellence.
• Review team performance through weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual assessments.
• Analyse sales data and produce reports to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in FMCG or a related consumer‑goods business.
• Strong knowledge of consumer products and FMCG market trends.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
