Area Sales Manager – Nandi

About the role

HomeBiogas is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead its sales activities in the Nandi region and the broader Rest of Kenya area. The role focuses on driving B2C sales of renewable-energy and waste-management solutions, building strong relationships with farmer groups and other rural stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach and mentor a field sales team of up to ten representatives, setting clear performance targets.
• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual regional sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, establishing partnerships with cooperatives, agro-dealers, financial institutions and local leaders.
• Coordinate regional marketing campaigns, product demonstrations and farmer engagement events.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through lead generation, follow-up and conversion, and implement corrective actions when performance lags.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies or a related field.
• Minimum five years of B2C sales experience in agriculture, renewable energy, FMCG or a related sector.
• At least three years of experience leading a field sales team, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated ability to work in rural markets and communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili.
