Area Sales Manager – Nandi Region

About the role

HomeBiogas is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead its sales operations in the Nandi region of Kenya. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strong relationships with rural customers and key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train, coach and mentor a high‑performing field sales team, setting clear performance targets.
• Develop and execute monthly, quarterly and annual regional sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with farmer groups, cooperatives, financial institutions and agro‑dealers.
• Coordinate regional marketing campaigns, product demonstrations and farmer engagement activities.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline through effective lead generation, follow‑up and conversion.
• Monitor sales performance, analyse results and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Agriculture, Agribusiness, Environmental Studies or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of B2C sales experience in agriculture, renewable energy, FMCG or a related sector.
• At least 3 years of experience leading a field sales team of 10 or more representatives.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
• Experience working in rural markets and strong understanding of the Kenyan agricultural landscape.
• Previous role as Sales Manager, Territory Manager or Area Sales Manager for at least 2 years.
• Fluent in English and Kiswahili.
