Assistant Credit Controller

About the role
We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Assistant Credit Controller to join our City Management team. You will play a vital role in managing credit risk, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and supporting budgeting and expenditure tracking within the real‑estate sector.
Key responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable, issue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Monitor debtor accounts, maintain updated collection records and prepare aged‑debtor reports.
- Produce cash‑flow forecasts and collection performance dashboards.
- Propose and enforce reasonable payment plans for overdue accounts.
- Coordinate with City Management, procurement, finance, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Maintain organized digital and physical records for the department.
- Assist in preparing, consolidating and reviewing departmental and company‑wide budgets.
- Track actual spending against budget, highlight variances and report project‑specific budget utilization.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of experience in credit control and budgeting, preferably in real‑estate, property management or construction.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or equivalent is a plus.
- Strong analytical, negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Experience with accounting systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (advantageous).
