Assistant Director of Information Communication Technology

About the role

The Assistant Director ICT will support the Director in leading ICT strategy, service delivery and infrastructure for Kenya Medical Training College. This senior position oversees networks, applications and staff while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deputise the Director ICT in coordinating and overseeing all ICT functions and projects.
• Provide strategic and technical leadership for ICT service delivery and infrastructure.
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and supervise ICT staff.
• Oversee development, deployment and maintenance of LAN/WAN networks and critical business applications.
• Ensure compliance with ICT standards, policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant ICT experience, including 3 years at Principal ICT Officer level or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, ICT or related discipline.
• Leadership certificate (minimum 4‑week course) and a valid practising licence.
• Membership in a relevant professional body and demonstrated merit in performance.
