Assistant Field Sales Manager

About the role

The Assistant Field Sales Manager will work closely with the Field Sales Manager to help achieve sales targets across the assigned region. This role supports the recruitment, onboarding, training and performance of commission‑based field agents who bring solar solutions to households without electricity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Field Sales Manager in meeting area sales goals.
• Recruit, onboard and train new field agents.
• Accompany agents on field visits, providing coaching and feedback.
• Monitor market dynamics, customer behaviour, product demand and competitor activity, and report insights to management.
• Identify new sales opportunities and contribute to lead‑generation strategies.
• Collaborate with the sales team to design and launch local sales initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in sales or micro‑finance, preferably in rural settings.
• Experience supporting or managing sales teams is an advantage.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to plan, strategise and act to achieve defined outcomes.
• Diploma in a relevant field is a plus.
