About the role
The Assistant Manager, HR Operations & Governance will support the delivery of efficient, compliant and high-quality HR services across FSD Africa. Reporting to the Manager, HR Operations & Governance, the role ensures that HR processes, systems and policies are implemented consistently and that staff and managers receive day-to-day HR support.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HR processes including compensation, benefits, employee wellbeing, occupational health and safety, and HR data management.
- Maintain strong operational controls, service standards and accurate employee records.
- Provide day-to-day support to staff and managers on HR queries and procedural matters.
- Support compliance activities, audits and documentation control across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analyse HR data, generate reports and contribute to continuous improvement of HR operations.
Required profile
- Master’s degree with at least 3 years HR experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years HR experience.
- Professional membership of CIPD or equivalent HR certification.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of HR operations processes such as payroll, benefits administration and compliance.
- Working knowledge of labour laws and statutory obligations.
- Familiarity with HRIS, data-management principles and reporting tools.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational and analytical abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder support skills.
