Assistant Product Manager - Splunk/Trend Micro

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Assistant Product Manager to support vendor alignment, go‑to‑market execution, and channel development for Splunk, Symantec and Illumio solutions across East Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Support collaboration with Splunk, Symantec and Illumio vendors to align on business priorities, pipelines and growth targets.
• Assist in executing GTM plans, including promotions, campaigns, pricing support and demand‑generation activities.
• Contribute to product lifecycle management – forecasting, pipeline tracking and performance reporting.
• Help build and expand the partner/channel ecosystem by onboarding, enabling and supporting resellers and system integrators.
• Coordinate sales activities, pipeline development and deal progression with internal sales teams.
• Support partner enablement sessions, trainings and certifications for Splunk, Symantec and Illumio solutions.
• Assist in quarterly business reviews with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in product management, vendor management or cybersecurity/IT solutions.
• Basic to intermediate understanding of Splunk (SIEM, Observability, Data Analytics), Symantec (Endpoint Security, DLP, Email Security) and Illumio (Zero Trust Segmentation, Microsegmentation).
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and enterprise technology solutions.
• Good understanding of GTM strategies, sales processes and channel business models.
• Strong analytical skills for forecasting, reporting and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to execute tasks independently and manage multiple priorities.
