Assistant Professor of Nursing (Adult/Acute Care)

About the role

The University seeks an Assistant Professor of Nursing to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in adult nursing, focusing on acute, critical, and medical‑surgical care. The role combines classroom instruction, laboratory and simulation teaching, and scholarly research.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver theory, laboratory, and simulation sessions aligned with the candidate’s expertise.
• Participate in curriculum development, course coordination, assessment, and continuous quality improvement.
• Contribute to college and university committees and academic activities.
• Maintain an active research program and publish in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise and advise nursing students, supporting their academic and professional growth.
• Engage in simulation, clinical education, and other experiential learning activities as required.
• Assist with accreditation, quality assurance, and program enhancement initiatives.
• Perform additional academic and administrative duties assigned by the Dean.

Required profile

• PhD in Nursing from a recognized and accredited university.
• Relevant academic and/or clinical experience in adult nursing specialties.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
• Strong record of research and scholarly publications.
• Experience with simulation‑based education and contemporary educational technologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with quality assurance and nursing program accreditation standards is an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in a multicultural academic environment.
