Assistant Residential Manager (Otsego Region)

About the role

The Assistant Residential Manager supports the Residential Manager in creating a safe, supportive home environment for adults with developmental disabilities in the Otsego Region. This on‑site leadership position blends direct care with staff supervision, ensuring residents receive personalized services and a calm living atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, train and supervise Director Support Professionals alongside the Residential Manager.
• Coordinate daily resident planning, lead weekly resident meetings and organize trips.
• Mentor new hires during their first six months.
• Oversee accurate completion of shift documentation and facilitate hand‑over reports.
• Maintain active programming, daily planners, goals and support plans for each resident.
• Verify medication audits, medication room checks, prescription orders and MAR entries.
• Provide direct care, including medication administration and assistance with medical appointments.
• Attend required trainings, staff development sessions and on‑call oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (associate degree preferred; required for Golisano Program).
• Minimum two years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of Springbrook New Manager Orientation and Leadership Training.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work on‑site.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb independently and assist with heavier loads.
• Valid driver’s license to operate Springbrook vehicles.

What we offer

• Hourly wage ranging from $22 to $24 based on experience and qualifications.
• $1,500 sign‑on bonus for new hires.
