Associate Analyst: Payroll & People Analytics

About the role

The Associate Analyst – Payroll & People Analytics will support Cellulant Group’s payroll operations across all entities, ensuring accurate processing, statutory compliance and insightful analytics. You will act as a bridge between People & Culture and Finance, helping to optimise payroll efficiency and provide data‑driven recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for all Group entities, maintaining high accuracy and meeting statutory filing deadlines.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies, handle employee inquiries and maintain up‑to‑date payroll records.
• Collaborate with Finance to budget, forecast and monitor payroll expenditures.
• Administer employee benefit programmes, liaise with insurance providers and keep benefit data current in HRIS.
• Develop and maintain payroll and people analytics dashboards to track cost trends and workforce metrics.
• Conduct periodic audits to verify data accuracy, statutory compliance and internal policy adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in full‑cycle payroll processing and statutory filings (KRA, NSSF, NHIF, etc.).
• Proven ability to work under tight deadlines while handling high‑volume data.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Experience with payroll systems such as Sage, SAP SuccessFactors or Workday.
• Strong data handling and basic dashboard creation skills.
