Associate Manager / Manager – Consumer Marketing

About the role

The successful candidate will lead branding and marketing activities for Shalina’s consumer product portfolio in Kenya, ensuring effective execution of campaigns, product launches and market initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monitoring and review of campaign effectiveness and conduct consumer research.
• Curate and execute the annual marketing calendar, including ATL and BTL activities.
• Manage activation programs such as POSM design, consumer promotions, e‑commerce activities and sampling.
• Own new product launch and re‑launch management, implementing go‑to‑market plans and channel strategies.
• Identify market threats and opportunities and execute actions like price/pack modifications and product innovations.
• Collaborate with internal/external creative teams and agencies to build 360° integrated marketing campaigns.
• Manage A&P budget to drive top‑line and bottom‑line sales growth and prepare regular brand performance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent; MBA in Marketing preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of brand management experience, preferably in consumer healthcare or FMCG in Kenya.
• Excellent consulting, communication and influencing skills.
• Strong analytical ability to understand consumer trends and solve problems.
• Self‑starter with ability to prioritize workload and adapt to tight deadlines.
