Associate Revit Technician

About the role

Control Risks is seeking an Associate Revit Technician to join its security design engineering team covering the EMEA region. The role produces high-quality security designs in Revit, AutoCAD and other CAD software, and is based in Nairobi.

Key responsibilities

• Produce technical security design drawings and models in Revit and AutoCAD for the EMEA region
• Carry out clash detection on Revit models and coordinate solutions to clashes
• Attend virtual project BIM coordination meetings and resolve technical issues clearly and confidently
• Develop and own the departmental BIM and CAD standards
• Produce 3D renderings and CGIs of proposed security solutions
• Deliver drawings to the highest standard and work with the team to meet project deadlines
• Use innovative approaches to improve efficiency and quality of security designs

Required profile

• Good level of experience in an architecture or MEP engineering practice
• Cross-disciplinary capability, primarily M&E building services and architecture
• Experience of clash detection and resolution with Navisworks and Revit
• Familiarity with BIM, Common Data Environments and QA systems
• Ability to liaise with clients, architects and the wider design team
• Fluent English, verbal and written

Required skills

• Revit and AutoCAD (highly proficient)
• Navisworks
• 3D rendering and graphics
• Knowledge of Cobie data for MEP and security drawings
• Other CAD software is preferable
