Associate Teller (Embakasi)

About the role

The Associate Teller will join I&M Bank in Westlands, Nairobi, delivering front‑line banking services to customers. This role focuses on accurate transaction processing, cash handling and promoting the bank’s product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other banking transactions in line with bank policies.
• Verify and process in‑house cheques, ensuring legitimacy and timely payment.
• Accept outward cheques, VAT and PAYE payments, validating documentation.
• Handle prepaid, multi‑currency and Narada card transactions while maintaining security.
• Conduct daily callbacks and maintain organized filing for compliance.
• Cross‑sell bank products by identifying customer needs.
• Respond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve service requests.
• Reconcile till cash daily and adhere to approved cash‑holding limits.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience in banking, cash handling or customer service.
• Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow bank policies and regulatory procedures.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers.
