Automation and PCD Engineer

About the role

Join our team as an Automation and Process Control Domain (PCD) Engineer, responsible for designing, programming, and deploying automation solutions that enhance production efficiency. You will maintain and improve PLC and control system software, ensure reliable operation of automation equipment, and uphold cybersecurity and safety standards across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Design, program, and deploy automation and process control systems.
• Develop and maintain PLC and control system software to optimise production.
• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and asset management for automation equipment.
• Support maintenance planning, spare‑parts management and system lifecycle sustainability.
• Implement cybersecurity measures, including patch management, backups and incident response for the PCD.
• Keep PCD asset inventories up‑to‑date and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Ensure automation systems meet safety, legal and industry regulations through risk assessments and mitigation.
• Maintain safety‑related maintenance programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Controls & Automation, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Minimum four years of experience in industrial automation.
• Proven experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting and modifications.
• Experience with HMI/SCADA and industrial networking.
• FMCG sector experience is a plus.
