About the role
The Automotive Engineering Department at Shamberere Technical Training Institute is seeking a dedicated trainer to deliver curriculum‑aligned instruction to aspiring automotive engineers. This full‑time role involves preparing learning materials, assessing student performance, and supporting practical projects.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver training in automotive engineering subjects according to the approved curriculum.
- Prepare teaching and learning materials, lesson plans, and assessment tools.
- Set, mark, and provide feedback on student assessments.
- Conduct supervised research activities under a senior trainer.
- Oversee trainee projects, practical work, and on‑site attachment periods.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the department.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant automotive discipline.
- Pedagogy in Education and TVETA registration (mandatory).
- Minimum of one year relevant experience.
- Registration with a professional body or association where applicable.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
