Backend Software Engineer – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join a global leader in IT services on a contract basis. This remote position focuses on building and maintaining high‑performance backend systems that power scalable applications for users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for a global audience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with an emphasis on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development with languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Hands‑on experience building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration tools.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
