Bakery Supervisor – Nairobi

About the role

The Bakery Supervisor will lead daily bakery operations at Kinnes Foods, ensuring high‑quality products, efficient production planning and continuous innovation. This hands‑on role combines team leadership with product development to meet the company’s standards and market demand.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily bakery production schedules.
• Ensure consistent quality, portioning and presentation of all bakery items.
• Monitor compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Supervise bakery staff, allocate tasks and mentor junior bakers.
• Maintain discipline, attendance and a positive team culture.
• Participate in developing new bakery products and improving existing recipes.
• Coordinate raw‑material planning with procurement and control ingredient usage.
• Collaborate with sales, catering and logistics to fulfil client and bulk orders.
• Support continuous improvement of bakery processes and workflows.

Required profile

• Certificate or Diploma in Baking, Pastry, Food Production or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on bakery experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in commercial or institutional baking is an advantage.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Basic computer skills for reporting.
