Battery Technician – Nairobi

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Battery Technician to join our team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role involves assembling, testing, maintaining and repairing battery packs for various applications, ensuring high quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble battery packs, modules, cells, connectors and wiring according to approved specifications and technical drawings.
• Perform voltage, current, capacity and resistance tests using calibrated equipment and record results accurately.
• Diagnose electrical faults with multimeters, battery testers and diagnostic tools, carry out repairs or component replacements and retest.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance and replace defective cells, cables, connectors or sensors.
• Inspect components for defects, carry out quality checks throughout assembly and testing, and report non‑conformities.
• Follow all safety and occupational health procedures, use appropriate PPE and report hazards promptly.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, organize tools and keep detailed documentation of all activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in battery assembly, testing or maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and manufacturer guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Good record‑keeping and reporting skills.
