BCS Watchstander & DDC Technician – 24/7 Operations

About the role

Amentum is seeking a skilled BCS Watchstander / DDC Technician to provide continuous operation and maintenance of the Building Control System (BCS) on Diego Garcia. The role ensures 24/7 monitoring and control of commodity production, utilities, and related services for a critical U.S. Navy program.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the Building Control System (BCS) and Direct Digital Controls (DDC) to manage commodity production and distribution.
• Provide uninterrupted 24/7 watchstanding, monitoring HVAC, lighting, utilities, and production processes.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent service disruptions.
• Conduct routine diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and calibration of BCS/DDC equipment.
• Maintain detailed logs, performance data, incident reports, and compliance records.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules and assist with system upgrades or new integrations.
• Collaborate with support teams on energy‑efficiency initiatives and performance improvements.
• Adhere to safety protocols, military and government regulations, and assist in training other personnel.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of hands‑on experience operating, maintaining, and repairing Building Control Systems or Direct Digital Control Systems.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or government facilities with a focus on system monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and provide continuous coverage.
