Bidding Officer

About the role

The Bidding Officer will lead the end‑to‑end tender process for laboratory equipment supplies, ensuring that all proposals are accurate, compliant and competitively priced. You will act as the central hub for internal and external stakeholders, turning opportunities into successful contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor public and private procurement portals daily to identify relevant tender opportunities.
• Write, edit and assemble technical, financial and administrative proposal documents.
• Review tender specifications to guarantee full compliance with legal and client requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and technical teams to calculate project costs and develop profitable pricing models.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners throughout bid preparation.
• Analyse contract terms to flag and mitigate commercial or legal risks.
• Maintain a repository of standard tender templates, past performance data and registration documents.
• Track submitted tenders, attend public openings and manage post‑bid clarifications or negotiations.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience in tender management, bid writing and public or private procurement.
• Strong knowledge of regional procurement laws, public bidding frameworks and commercial contract terms.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
