Billing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑driven Billing Specialist to manage the end‑to‑end legal billing process for our clients. The role involves preparing accurate invoices, handling e‑billing submissions, and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines while collaborating with attorneys, paralegals and the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process client invoices based on time entries, expenses and engagement agreements.
• Submit invoices through electronic billing platforms and monitor status, rejections and appeals.
• Resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with legal and finance teams, processing adjustments, write‑offs and credits.
• Support accounts receivable activities, follow up on outstanding balances and generate billing reports for leadership.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to billing and identify efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong command of English (C1 level) and ability to work onsite full‑time.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Legal billing software such as Elite 3E, Aderant, ProLaw or Clio.
• Familiarity with e‑billing portals and electronic invoicing platforms.
