Biomass Consultant

About the role

World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is seeking a Biomass Consultant to provide expert advice and support for its biomass-related initiatives in Kenya. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to advance sustainable biomass solutions that align with the Centre’s research and development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver technical guidance on biomass production, utilization, and sustainability.
• Develop and review project proposals, work plans, and reports related to biomass activities.
• Support implementation of biomass projects, including data collection, analysis, and monitoring.
• Facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building among partners and stakeholders.
• Prepare concise documentation and presentations for internal and external audiences.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., forestry, environmental science, agriculture, or related field).
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional international language(s) advantageous.
• Proven experience working in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams, preferably within a non‑profit organization.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Commitment to continuous learning and collaborative problem solving.
