Bookkeeper & Administrative Coordinator – Remote (South Africa/Kenya)

About the role

This remote position supports a lighting‑industry client with high‑volume accounts payable tasks. The ideal candidate has solid accounting knowledge and can thrive in a cloud‑based, fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and code high‑volume vendor invoices using Hubdoc.
• Conduct regular vendor statement reconciliations to identify missing invoices.
• Manage payment applications and process payments in Xero.
• Handle AP inquiries via phone and email and ensure invoice approvals follow internal matrices.
• Support monthly and year‑end financial closings and post to the general ledger with accuracy.
• Maintain internal controls and prepare AP aging reports for timely processing.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in high‑volume accounts payable.
• Strong written and oral communication, reliable, highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently or within a remote team.

• Xero accounting software
• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word)
• Advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
