Branch Operations Manager

About the role

The Branch Operations Manager will oversee daily operations of the Garissa branch, ensuring compliance, risk management, and high‑quality service delivery. You will work closely with front‑office and back‑office teams to drive efficiency and meet customer expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily, weekly and monthly operations reports, escalating exceptions as needed.
• Approve new accounts in line with KYC procedures and verify customer instructions.
• Manage operational risk, enforce controls, and implement audit recommendations.
• Monitor transactions for money‑laundering and fraud, and reconcile inter‑branch activities.
• Oversee suspense, holdover and transit GL accounts to ensure timely reversals.
• Ensure all service delivery channels are available and meet customer expectations.
• Supervise front‑office and back‑office staff to achieve quick turnaround on enquiries and complaints.
• Cross‑sell the bank’s products and services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant banking operations experience.
• Professional qualification such as CPA (K), ACCA or equivalent.
• Member of the Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) or similar professional body.
