Brand Manager – Gum

About the role

As a Brand Manager – Gum for Mars Snacking in Nairobi, you will own the gum portfolio and drive strategy, innovation and culturally resonant campaigns across the Middle East and Africa. You will work closely with the Nairobi manufacturing hub and regional teams to grow iconic brands such as Orbit and Juicy Fruit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead short‑ and long‑term brand strategy for the gum portfolio, analysing market share, category dynamics and whitespace opportunities.
• Shape and deliver a 3‑year innovation pipeline, balancing local breakthroughs from the Nairobi plant with adapted European launches.
• Develop omnichannel brand campaigns and media plans in partnership with agency and content teams to maximise ROI and brand love.
• Partner with Strategic Revenue Management on pricing and pack architecture, ensuring flawless launch execution and post‑launch reviews.
• Act as the primary liaison with regional MEA and global gum teams to align brand guidelines and communication pipelines.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of proven brand management experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG environment.
• Strong commercial insight across African markets, with exposure to the broader Middle East and Africa considered a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Master’s advantageous).
• Full professional fluency in English and Swahili.
• Results‑oriented leader with storytelling ability and experience steering agency collaborations.
