Brand Manager - Gum

About the role

The Brand Manager – Gum will own the gum portfolio for Mars Snacking in Nairobi, shaping strategy and driving marketing execution across the Middle East and Africa. You will lead brand growth, innovation pipelines and consumer‑focused campaigns to increase market share and household penetration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead short‑and long‑term brand strategy, analysing market share, category dynamics and whitespace opportunities to accelerate growth.
• Shape and deliver a 3‑year innovation pipeline, balancing breakthrough local innovations from the Nairobi plant with European launches.
• Develop omnichannel brand campaigns and media plans in partnership with agencies and content teams to maximise ROI and brand love.
• Partner with Strategic Revenue Management on price and pack architecture and ensure flawless launch execution and post‑launch reviews.
• Act as the primary liaison with regional MEA and Global Gum teams, aligning brand guidelines and communication pipelines.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of proven brand management experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG environment.
• Strong commercial experience across Africa, with exposure to the Middle East considered a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver end‑to‑end innovation pipelines based on shopper insights and financial metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s advantageous) and fluency in English and Swahili.
• Results‑oriented leader with storytelling ability and experience steering agency collaborations.
