Business Analyst (Entry Level)

About the role

ABNO Softwares International is hiring an entry-level Business Analyst in Nairobi. The analyst identifies business needs, gathers requirements and supports the design of solutions that improve processes and help the organization reach its goals, working closely with stakeholders to bridge business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, validate and document business requirements through interviews, workshops and research with stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes, systems and data to find improvements and recommend aligned solutions.
• Model business processes with flowcharts or diagrams to spot inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
• Run gap analyses comparing the current state with desired outcomes and propose ways to close them.
• Work with developers, management and end users so solutions fit both business needs and technical capabilities.
• Write BRDs, use cases and process flow diagrams, and perform data analysis to measure KPIs and trends.
• Oversee implementation of new processes, systems or technologies, including coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Train users on new systems, write user manuals and give support.
• Assess risks, issues and benefits of proposed solutions and monitor the effectiveness of implemented ones.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in IT, Business Management or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience; minimum 1 year in ERP implementation, systems integration or business analysis.
• Prior experience in business analysis or similar roles, including requirement gathering, process improvement and stakeholder collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and business intelligence software, and exposure to Agile or other development methodologies.

Required skills

• Data analysis tools: SQL, Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and statistical software such as Python or R.
• Process modeling tools such as UML, flowcharts and Visio.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts.
