Business Analyst - Process Engineering

About the role

The Business Analyst – Process Engineering will act as the bridge between business needs and technology solutions within DHL Supply Chain East Africa. You will analyse operational data, identify improvement opportunities and help implement strategies that boost efficiency across warehousing and transport functions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and interpret large operational datasets to spot trends, patterns and areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards that communicate key performance indicators to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand and map current business processes.
• Propose and implement process improvements to reduce costs and optimise resource utilisation.
• Work with IT to assess, recommend and roll out technology solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Provide insights on integrating advanced systems such as WMS, TMS, Operations Management System and SmartREM suites.
• Utilise historical data and industry trends to produce demand forecasts for warehouse and transport services.
• Engage stakeholders to capture and document business requirements for system enhancements.
• Define, track and analyse KPIs to evaluate operational effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business administration or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in business analysis or process improvement within warehousing or transportation environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
