Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive revenue growth for our logistics, air and ocean freight services. Reporting to the Head of Business Unit, you will shape sales strategy, identify new market opportunities and lead cross‑functional initiatives to expand our global network.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a sales strategy for logistics, air and ocean freight across the global network.
• Analyse market trends, identify new opportunities and create plans to meet revenue targets.
• Design, launch and manage marketing campaigns from concept through execution.
• Conduct market research and gather business intelligence to uncover new markets and customer needs.
• Maintain client relationships through performance reviews and feedback loops to improve service levels.
• Ensure compliance with internal operating procedures and regulatory requirements for all accounts.
• Prepare, analyse and present sales reports to senior management.
• Coordinate with customer service, agents, shipping lines and subcontractors to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5‑8 years of proven experience in sales or business development within clearing and forwarding.
• Strong understanding of clearing & forwarding operations, regulatory compliance and financial accuracy.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multitask with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated capability to influence and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
