Business Development Manager

About the role

The Professor | Marketing is a B2B sales and marketing consultancy that helps organisations strengthen their market position and grow revenue through tailored strategies for lead generation, customer acquisition and long-term client relationships. It is looking for a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager based in Nairobi to identify and pursue new business, build client relationships and expand the consultancy's B2B client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and qualify leads, and conduct client meetings and presentations
• Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts in line with company objectives
• Work with marketing and consulting teams to develop sales strategies and refine service offerings
• Track sales performance, analyse market trends and report regularly to leadership

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field; equivalent experience considered
• Experience in B2B sales, account management and client relationship building within a consultancy or professional services setting
• Prior experience in the Nairobi or broader East African market is an advantage
• Comfortable working on-site in a collaborative team and managing several opportunities at once
