Business Development Officer

About the role

Vapor Technologies is seeking a Business Development Officer to lead the generation of new client engagements, SaaS trial activations, and government tender opportunities. This revenue‑focused position sits at the heart of the company’s growth strategy, turning outreach and marketing activities into signed contracts for both agency services (custom software, web platforms) and SaaS products such as Force HRM, EduFlow, and TableFlow.

Key responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of qualified leads across SME, corporate, and government segments.
• Book and conduct product demos for Force HRM and other SaaS offerings.
• Monitor, prepare, and submit tender pre‑qualifications and procurement opportunities.
• Prospect for local purchase order (LPO) and ICT supply opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to signed agreement.
• Report on pipeline health and closed revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management (Kenyan market experience preferred).
• Comfort with SaaS trials, technical products, or agency services.
• Experience with or willingness to learn tender and procurement processes.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑driven, target‑oriented, and comfortable with a results‑based compensation structure.
