Business Development Support Officer

About the role

The Business Development Support Officer will work closely with the Business Development Manager to drive the company’s bidding and proposal pipeline. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys managing complex schedules and ensuring compliance with tender requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source daily tenders, RFPs, and RFQs from newspapers, e‑procurement portals (IFMIS, PPIP) and corporate sites.
• Compile, format and package bid responses that meet statutory and technical specifications.
• Maintain the active bid calendar, monitor deadlines and coordinate inputs from technical and finance teams.
• Organise and update the bid library, ensuring easy access to past submissions, templates and regulatory documents.
• Prepare weekly bid status reports and document action items from team meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, BBIT, Project Management or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in bid administration, tender compilation or business support, preferably within Kenya’s ICT sector.
• Good understanding of Kenyan public procurement processes and digital portals.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
